I'm unemployed, and usually two or three times a week, I run into a company that is using Taleo, this used to not bother me, but its always a new company, which means 2-3 times a week, I need to reenter all of my information, I wouldnt object to this, if I had not, sometimes hours before entered this SAME information, into an IDENTICAL form, for another Company, Taleo has it all, but its not shared, so I have to put it all in again, all my work history, everything from scratch, over and over again. - grr.

*sighs* *clickityclackityclickity as he renters his information again.*

I guess there is one thing I hate more, sites that will only work in IE.

I do wish you could make a master profile on Taleo, then link it to job applications you fill out. It would save them space in their databases and probably speed the whole site up.

Create a page in Notepad which has all the necessary data when you are going to the websites. Then copy/paste the data. Faster and simpler.

When you have a lot of fields with not a lot of information that gets even worse (zip codes, things in dropdowns...)

I usually try to take advantage of auto complete when it's available. I've found I can fill many forms by doing tab -> down arrow -> enter -> tab -> ...

No experience with this Taleo thing though

I hope you proofread what you enter into Taleo more than your entries.

Generally, yes.

The standard for me applying for an employer - and whining on my livejournal at 1:30 in the morning are different.

They should stay consistent. Have you also gone over your resume again to confirm that you caught all the mistakes?
