First, Happy Birthday
stevefoxx
I went back thru my posting history and realized I have not made a substantive post in quite some time.
I used to post quite regularly, weekly even, with ideas of importance.. and now? Not so much.
So, to Re-Cap;
I got laid off in December of 2010, I then;
Went to a RAIn BOD meeting in Whidbey Island.
Drove down to LA, spent a month.
Spent a month with my "It's Complicated" (Mate) in San Jose.
Went to FC2010.
Went back to LA for January Prancing Skiltare Party.
Drove back to the bay to visit with
tamino
Drove home, visited with HunterKitty in Eugene on the way out.
I then came back and found a job at a Data Center.
I miss the conversations, and wide social network I had 3-4 years ago, I need to stop looking inward and start looking outword again.
I also have a partner (kinda), something I at some point I need to post about?
Is LiveJournal dying? god I hope not, the alternatives suck.

... which has the same layout and general formatting. I pretty much use the dreamwidth account as a back up [along with LJ & Facebook] to post the meeting minute notes from BASFA =

Unfortunately, many friends view this as a one-way street.
This, then makes it so that less people respond to their post. I have one friend who posts daily. Most of the time he gets zero response. He never reads, or responds to any of his friend's blogs!
One the other hand, however, if you're big, all you gotta do is post a pix with one word: "Hello," and you'll get about 25 offers for sex and friendship.
Just my 2ยข.

Right now, the new hotness is Google+, but that's probably because it's invitation only right now, and all the furries are cumming in their pants because they can score an invite from their techno-weenie friends.
And Facebook, of course, but Facebook is ballooning into the overheated-and-sold-for-a-trillion-dollars category of the speculative markets because people actually believe there's quadrillions to be made from targeted advertising.

Is LJ dying? Yes and no.. It's slowed down substantially. Some bloggers went to FB and Twitter. Some folks simply walked away from blogging altogether because the time isn't there for them anymore. As for myself, I've got to maintain web presence on FB, MySpace (which is dead), FetLife and various modeling sites. Do I get to write much anymore?... Not really. Between family and work (drama) I've been reading, but not had much writing time.

But I really like LJ and the interactions and friends I've had there, so I'm consciously trying to update more often and interact with people more. I'd like LJ to still be here, and for there to still be neat new people I can look forward to finding.
