We did it.

Now ends the time of politics, anger and hate, and begins the effort to rebuild America, we have a long difficult road ahead, and its going to take all of us, but we can fix our country, yes we can.

If we had seen more speeches like that concession speech McCain gave he might have just won.

I personally was more impressed with McCains concession speech, then I was with the Obama victory one, the Victory speech was predictable, it had themes of unity, and all the things I expected, the concession speech impressed me far more because of how kind, and gracious McCain was, the positive reaction from Preisident Bush also impressed me greatly.

I guess the fears of Martial law I had were unfounded.

For all those worried about gay marriage, dont be, there are two important constitutional concepts in play, that will get us our natural rights in ALL 50 states.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Full_faith_and_credit

Which in the end will get us marriage in all states, all that has to happen is DOMA must go away, and it will, within the next decade.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Equal_Protection

And on a lesser level, Equal Protect will cause the overturn of the anti-marriage laws in the various states, this one will take a more liberal court to pull of.

I dont care about marriage, I want all of the RIGHT of marriage, and I want my registration to be the same everywhere, but for me, its a hollow victory if its just in one state, it needs to be in all 50.

I personally think the state has no business granting marriages, they should be granting certificate of union, which could be granted to any eligible couple, if you want to get married, you can go to a church.
