Big Iron Training.

I've been wanting to pursue a career working with either z/OS or AS/400, and I'm a bit dumbfounded, I could find the money for training, if I could find a place to go get trained, I've found Advanced training, but not introductory training.

I've found jobs out there, and I know there is more coming down the pike (The Technicians who work on mainframes are not getting younger), I'm not looking for hardware maintenance jobs, but training for things like z/OS Generalist, Systems Programmer, Systems Engineer, etc.

Anyone have any suggestions?

I'm also interested on anyones predictions on what the next big thing in IT is..
